Major Renovation and Extension

Major renovation and extension of an existing Queenslander.
The brief from the clients was to achieve a more open floorplan which provided more space to hang artwork and maximised views to the well-established gardens.
A large Poinciana Tree was integral to the design. The tree’s location demanded that the pool be heated and protected from leaf litter yet remained private and surrounded by nature.
The project required a sympathetic approach that ensured the integrity of the existing residence was maintained whilst modernising the residence internally.
The ground floor level was designed as a self-contained unit with access to the upper level via an internal staircase. This space could also be separated from the main residence when the owners’ friends or AirBnB guests stayed.
The finished product remains a beautiful, welcoming home.
